The Plastic components Division has all the main technologies to convert thermoplastic materials.
In the injection moulding field, thanks to its array of presses, it can produce medium/large parts using all types of polymers (from polyethylene to polypropylene and technopolymers such as polyamide and polycarbonate).

Blowing technologies are even used to produce large components, mainly in polyethylene and polypropylene, such as snorkels for trucks, fuel tanks and air intake ducts.
3D bimaterial blowing is used to produce piping with complex forms, simultaneously processing different materials (polypropylene and santoprene, rigid and soft nylon, hytrel and crastin, and glass-loaded polypropylene).

This recently developed technology, for which Cornaglia is one of the leaders in Europe, has made it possible to replace rubber parts inside the engine bay, with significant savings in economic and weight terms, and an important improvement in quality and performance, and the product is completely recyclable. Bi-material 3D blowing is taking hold as a valid alternative to canvas-backed and silicon rubber ducts.

Rotomoulding technologies can be used to produce large complex parts like cab roofs, fuel tanks, wings and interior components, mainly for the commercial vehicle and agricultural and construction machinery markets.

Twenty years of experience in the manufacture of technical components using rotomoulding technologies ensure that even painted parts (or parts destined to be painted) can be produced, even with technopolymers.
Where assembly is concerned, the components produced can be welded using a wide range of technologies (hot blade, ultrasound, vibration, rotating clutch), and machined on robotised finishing and assembly islands.
